The most compact model on our list, this rice cooker has a 4-cup cooked rice capacity, ideal for individuals who don’t need to make large quantities of rice or who have limited kitchen space.

This model has a stainless steel inner pot, made from 304 stainless steel material that is food-grade, durable, and safe for dishwashers. Preparing this dish takes roughly 2 hours on the slow-cook setting, making it a relaxed, hands-off dessert to prepare. There are different types of rice cookers available, including conventional on/off cookers, fuzzy logic cookers, and induction heating (IH) cookers.

This size feeds the average-size household, has room for extra rice when company comes for dinner and still fits neatly in a kitchen cabinet. I immediately liked how straightforward the Aroma’s display panel was, but I was a bit concerned about the overall quality of the comparatively thin-feeling cooking pot.

Rice rarely sticks to ceramic, and even if it does, the pot can be placed in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. The digital control panel lets you easily choose from different cooking modes, such as white rice, brown rice or steam.
