About this deal
Pump: The single-chamber dual-action pump won’t impress, but with a lot of people opting into an electric pump it maybe doesn’t matter. In the latter part of 2019, Bluefin released the all-new smart lock fin system as well as a much bolder blue and teal patterns also with enhanced durability. To me, the design makes a really good impression and the bottom reminds me strongly of the design of surfboards.
For more information on Bluefin SUP’s premium line, read our in-depth Bluefin Cruise Carbon 10’8″ SUP board review as well as the Bluefin Cruise Carbon 12′ SUP board review. The regular Bluefin Cruise only includes a fiberglass paddle, which isn’t bad either, but can’t compete with a carbon paddle. If you just want to use a paddleboard for the odd summer weekend with friends, then you can probably get by with a cheaper brand. One thing that we do hope they add in the future is a rear bungee storage area as this comes in handy when you’re out for a paddle and a pup or passenger is occupying the board’s nose. The additional handles are not very helpful, and the roller wheels are far too small for the bag's weight.
If you’re tired, worried about hermit crab arms or just want a change of pace it’s easy to convert into a kayak in a snap. The slightly bent up tip of the board ensures that the Bluefin Cruise Carbon does not dive into every small wave, but glides better over the water.
Bluefin SUP’s inflatables are some of the stiffest on the market, include a value-packed accessory bundle, and are backed by the best warranty available today. It's made with high-end materials, has a solid construction, and performs consistently in all conditions. The standard version of the Cruise paddleboarding is available in 4 different sizes (Junior 8’/10’8″/12’/15′).
