To open just do the opposite and turn the dial to the open lock position and the lid will easily lift off. Outlets and voltage differ internationally and this product may require an adapter or converter for use in your destination.

To seal just pop on the lid and press down and twist the dial on the top towards the closed lock symbol.The lids sit flush to the lip of the container so when the locking mechanism is engaged you hear the air hiss out. Also, unlike the bulky lids of some similar brands, the Neoflam lids are thin and take up minimal space, allowing more volume for the contents. They are lightweight to carry so I do have to put heavy food items to keep them from floating if all the ice melts. For the past 30+ years, I've had acrylic/plastic/glass containers with wood/plastic/glass lids with seal.

When I was trying them out they felt cheap; it's hard to explain, but just unnecesarily bulk for the mechanism.

Even so, the seal of the lids were all over the place-- some had great seals and others released after being "sealed" for a few seconds. But I cannot remember if the lid is, so I rather wash them by hand since they don’t really get dirty from my dry goods. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Food storage is something you always need in and around the kitchen to keep your food fresh and leftovers ready for another day. I've had them for several years and they still work great, dishwasher safe and still work perfectly despite fairly frequent use.
