About this deal
The richness of this book nourishes the soul with what it truly needs and I pray that anyone who reads it finishes it feeling completely fulfilled. People shouldn’t have to suffer in silence; and this holy month we must come together as a community to support one another. Every year, Muslims around the world anticipate the sighting of the new crescent moon that signifies the official first day of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and the most sacred month in Islamic culture.
A believer who has fasted in all sincerity can apply the constraints laid down by God in all affairs of his life. Each time I have picked up Ramadan Reflections, I have felt like a close companion was in conversation with me.Upon seeing this, the leader of the hypocrites, Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salaul, spread a slanderous rumour about Aisha and Safwan. Chaand means moon, and raat translates to night, so the name literally means the ‘night of the moon’.
According to early Javanese beliefs, the month of Ramadan marks the start of a new life cycle and the completion of the previous one.
In fact, fasting this year has been relatively easier due to this unusually cold weather that we’re currently experiencing. During Ramadan, it is common to have one meal (known as the suhoor), just before dawn and another (known as the iftar), directly after sunset. As a result of the Islamic calendar being based on lunar (moon) cycles, this means the exact date of Ramadan and its subsequent celebration Eid ul-Fitr is subject to change.
God-consciousness is the single aim of Ramadan, and reading is a vehicle that helps the fasting Muslim arrive at such a spiritual lofty station.
There were also often very personal anecdotes shared by the author which were really meaningful and they helped me connect even more to the book and the message of each chapter. This book is a beautiful unique day-by-day companion throughout the Holy Month, engaging the Believer's reflections as they are immersed in the worship of Allah, and encouraging the journaling of those thoughts as the book moves them to take steps towards Him.
