About this deal
It's said that the Cognac was enjoyed at the King's court at the time, with Rémy having planted his first vineyard in 1724. Today, it continues to hold its place as one of the best amongst Cognac connoisseurs all over the world.
Grapes from the most sought after vineyards, which offer the greatest ageing potential, longer maturation in the casks, and the Cellar Master's savoir-faire combine to reveal a cognac of unique aromatic intensity: Rémy Martin Fine Champagne Cognac. Just leaving one star spare as it's not quite at the same heights as my favourite (Hine Rare VSOP), which is only a smidgen more expensive.I'm a single malt girl normally but the son loves cognac and Remy so bought this to treat him and wow. For the ultimate pairing experience, compliment with a cheese platter or chocolate truffles on the side. I could taste that this was great quality suff, but far too strong and burning for me, should have stuck with my usual Courvoisier.Created in 1927, Rémy Martin VSOP is the first ever VSOP Cognac Fine Champagne blend (using only the finest grapes), and the first to be enshrined in the iconic frosted bottle. If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. Best enjoyed neat, on ice, or stirred down with a brown sugar cube and a dash on Angostura bitters for a brandy twist an Old Fashioned cocktail.
