I really appreciated the open hearted generosity and spirit of this book and the ray of sunshine, pardon the pun, it offers. Kaufman, who was responsible for writing the screenplay, did not begin immediately, instead opting to suspend writing while he was working on Adaptation, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Human Nature, the last of which Gondry directed as his directorial debut. This book is laid out to be a one day at a time, even though the days are only about two pages and not jammed packed.

In Day 81, one of the authors tells a story of finding new friends though a bible study group and how she “was greeted with smiles and hugs and a discussion that was so relatable and relevant in my life. Yes, there is some celebrity name dropping, but to me it doesn’t come off as cheesy or showy, it’s just their lives. This is far from my usual read, but I had a ton of credits on Audible so I decided to go out of my comfort zone.
