I didn't love Jessie in the first book, but I thought maybe I'd like her more once I got into her head. But an underlying current of attraction emerges in the middle of the battlefield, which only intensifies the emotions and raises the stakes.

jess’ character is so vindictive and immature for no good reason and apparently according to the other reviews, for most of the book, I just refuse to wade through it to get to the HEA. Even if it’s a favorite, the enemies-to-lovers and/or the hate-to-love trope is either a hit or miss for me.Once again I'm never gonna hate anyone who enjoyed this book, it's their choice but I'm just too determined to think that now her books are definitely not for me. the chemistry between them is just so perfect, their banters and their pranks are always funny and so entertaining.
