This is a review and detailed measurements of the Topping A30Pro balanced input and output headphone amplifier and pre-amp.The trio came across as completely compelling to me, and the “mid-fi” Topping duo could certainly hold their own with the Live attached. While I find the Singxer SA-1 a better amplifier when it comes to natural textures and treble rendition, I find the little A30 PRO a punchier amplifier that doesn’t have a problem sustaining longer bass notes, striving for a more engaging presentation. I had to wait on another pair of XLR to XLR cables, since my primary pair were running off my iFi Pro set up.

It is neither big or closed-in sounding, somewhere in between, offering an above average stage size on all axes. Treble is highly detailed, very textured, sometimes highlighted, but it wasn’t harsh or bright with my digital sources. The Topping A30Pro is a satisfactory mid-range headphone amplifier with top specification, better sound, and a refined build.
